Review: The White Tiger Netflix

Last year I read the novel written by Aravind Adiga which is one of the best novels written in India. Yet I was glued to the screen while watching this movie mostly due to the top-notch act by Gourav Adarsh and the supporting cast. Also don’t miss the engaging screenplay, never heard the unique score and the story which is told.

The White Tiger has an icy-cool, slick visual style and an unsubtle but effective running commentary about social warfare and how some who are born into a life sentence of victimhood refuse to accept that sentence, consequences be damned. It’s an uneven but memorable tale about a young man with impressive survival instincts and a conscience that shifts to fit the circumstances. The White Tiger is Dark! It shows the gritty side of class struggles.

There are some flaws, the movie gets slow at times also Rajkumar with that accent looked fabricated. It could have been touchy too as it tells about the sensitive and dark part of the society. Still a worthy watch!

The White Tiger is unsparingly dark, violent, bright, funny and serious.
