Review Incendies (Denis Villeneuve)

Okay, I will start like this: The best film of Denis Villeneuve till today. Villeneuve has made a film that relies on great filmmaking to impact the viewer. Ideally, Incendies will be associated with years to come as the splendid film that brought forth the incredible notoriety of Denis Villeneuve. It is ironic that one of the best films about the Middle East conflict, and specifically the tragic civil war in Lebanon, should be made by a Canadian filmmaker.

With clearing cinematography that is painfully wonderful to look at, perhaps the best scene includes the severe, cutthroat mass homicide where criminals splash endless of rounds into a stuffed transport bus, finishing in that shot of a consuming transport covered in thick dark smoke against an unending sandy condition. From the lead ones to the side characters each of them was at their best in acting.

This film is totally persuading. It has extreme pictures and words and has a slow beautiful pace and tense air. The film starts exceptionally quiet however the pressure raises quick and you truly feel increasing more with the shocking characters. This film makes you cry, it drives you crazy, it stuns you. This is the best example of how to make a quite shocking movie with almost no blood, and no graphic scenes, just a great story.

Who should watch Incendies movie?
