Review – Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare

Alankrita Shrivastava has made a well-crafted film with social issues, empowerment and freedom. The pace of the film is slow for its own good in building the characters. The writing is appreciable with impacting messages. The movie is felt stretched at times if the movie length was shorter the impact would have been more. Dialogues are average and a par average screenplay.

The cast is amazing. Konkona Sen Sharma shines throughout the film, Bhumi Padnekar is as natural as always. Amol and Vikrant bring charm to the screen. Kubra was quite good with a small role. The music was effective at times and the camera work could have been better.

This Noida based story has some pleasing moments with the drama. The ending looked a bit dramatic. Alankrita has managed to keep the viewers attached to the screen, but the film has some flaws which can’t be overlooked.

Who should watch this movie?

  • As told above if you love the theme of the movie and if you are a patient watcher you can enjoy this film.
